Apologies for cross-posting.

There are two categories relevant in the NSW Premier?s Literary Awards: the Ethel Turner Prize for young people's literature (YA) and the Patricia Wrightson prize for children's literature.

The awards were announced last night at the Art Gallery of NSW.

Ursula Dubosarsky won the Ethel Turner Prize for "Theodora's Gift".

Kierin Meehan won the Patricia Wrightson Prize for "In the Monkey Jungle".

Margo Lanagan was one of the judges.
