One of my favorite fantasy series is the Mennym books by Sylvia Waugh. I know they have been translated into many languages and are very popular in Europe, but for some reason they don't seem to have reached the same level of popularity in the States. A shame, I think. Her second series, the Ormingat trilogy, should appeal to younger boys, I think. I'll admit I am always drawn to fantasy, and this discussion is adding to my list of books to read, which didn't really need any additions, but I'm grateful anyway. Sally Derby
