Hi All,
Last month, Nikki Giovanni, the author of Rosa, spoke at Cal Tech in Pasadena. She talked about the book, her closeness to Mrs. Parks, and the writing and illustrating of the book, Rosa. Ms Giovanni was extremely proud of Bryan Collier's illustrations and discussed some of the illustrations in detail. She also mentioned that Mrs. Parks received an F & G copy of the book prior to her death.
