We don't usually make a call for volunteers via ccbc-net. Please forgive us if you think it's not appropriate for this forum. We have a very low turn-out this season, so far, and want to make sure our Spectacular Spring Sale can go on! Sincerely, Meg Rothstein Madison, Wisconsin

Friends of CCBC, Inc. Call for Spring Sale Volunteers
Our next book sale takes place on Saturday, March 11 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of the Choices Day events on campus. It?s a great fundraiser for the Friends, but it couldn?t take place without the assistance of dedicated Friends members from all over the state. We?d love to have you join us! By working just one shift, on the eve of the sale or the day of the sale, you can make a real difference. Proceeds from sales help fund projects at the CCBC throughout the year.
Volunteers help unload and set up before the sale, replenish stock, answer questions, assist purchases, and provide hospitality during the sale, and pack up and load the remaining boxes after the sale. This sale, we especially need people who can lift boxes of books in and out of trucks, and transport books up from and down to the basement before and after the sale.
Shift times are as follows:
Friday, March 10 ? 2-4 p.m. or 4-6 p.m. Saturday, March 11* ? 7:45-10 a.m., 10 a.m. to noon, noon to 2 p.m., 2-4 p.m.
*times are flexible for people who want to attend part or all of Choices Day events
Please call or email sale co-chair Tana Elias (phone 608-274-5164, email telias4 at charter.net) to sign up for a shift. Be sure to leave your name and a phone number or email where you can be reached for confirmation or questions. For more information about the sale, please contact Tana. Thanks very much!
