I meant to ask this in my previous posting:
At the risk of admitting that maybe I missed something in my reading, it seems as if the final page is an abrupt change of voice: "They can't hear me, but I want to tell them it's okay, they're doing just fine." I don't recall a previous first-person voice in the book, so this threw me. Who's speaking?
