I can remember only one word from the Monday press conference announcement about Criss Cross. That word is "postmodern." Although I wasn't coming out of anesthetic like Robin was that morning, I became so stunned and then so euphoric that my mind turned to mush for the remainder of the press conference and most of the morning.
I'm so eager to talk about Criss Cross, too, but I'm glad we're waiting for those in the CCBC-Net community who haven't read Criss Cross (and want to read it) to have a chance to track it down.
February 15.
I'm making a note of it.
That's when we can reflect upon the visual dimensions of Criss Cross. And more. That's when we'll also talk then about how this postmodern novel features Hector and Lenny, as well as Debbie. There's also a fourth person featured in Criss Cross, but because last month I gave my copy (a first printing!) to my granddaughter, I'll have to get onto the Criss Cross waiting lists at the public library and bookstore in order to have a copy in hand to reread.
Cheers, Ginny
