Dear Margaret,
I have just started a boy's book club for my son and his friends (ages 8 through 10.) Here are some of our list.
A Single Shard Linda Sue Park
The Boy Who Saved Baseball John Ritter
Bud, Not Buddy
The Secret of Platform 13 Eva Ibbotson
Project Mulberry Linda Sue Park
The Scarecrow and His Servant Philip Pullman
The Phantom Tollbooth Norman Juster
Frindle Andrew Clements
Dragon's Milk Susan Fletcher
And my son and I really loved The Penderwicks by Jeanne Birdsall. It is funny, full of action, and very well written.....but it is not really a "boy book."
I'm glad you asked this question. I am looking forward other responses so I can add to our list! Thank you.
All the best,
Sally Davies
