Thank you to everyone who has been sharing the results of their mock American Library Association (ALA) award discussions.

In the next few days, we invite you to continue to discuss the National Book Award winners and nominees.

On Monday, January 23, we'll turn our attention to the ALA children's and young adult literature awards, which will be announced at a press conference at 10:00 a.m. Central Standard Time at the ALA Midwinter Meeting in San Antonio. We invite your initial responses to the outcomes over the final days in January. Over the next two months, we'll focus on each individual award for a week or so at a time.

For those of you who just can't wait until the press conference is over to find out the winners and honor books, ALA is doing a live webstream of the press conference. To find out how to access it, read the ALA press release at

http://www.ala.org/Template.cfm?Section=News&template=/ContentManagement/ContentDisplay.cfm&ContentID=113595

For those of you who can wait a little while, we will post the results on CCBC-Net as soon as possible after the press conference ends. It generally lasts 30 - 40 minutes.

You may also get the results after the press conference from ALA's web site at www.ala.org (traffic can be busy and it might be hard to get in).
