Brooklyn Public Library is pleased to announce its Mock Caldecott winner and honor books. Now in its fourth year, the discussion took place on Thursday evening January 5, with a group of 25 librarians attending.
Our winner is....
Zen Shorts, written and illustrated by Jon J. Muth (Scholastic Press)
Honor Books (in alphabetical order):
I Ain't Gonna Paint No More!, written by Karen Beaumont and illustrated by David Catrow (Harcourt, Inc.)
Lies and Other Tall Tales, collected by Zora Neale Hurston, adapted and illustrated by Christopher Myers (HarperCollins Publishers)

1. Terrific, written and illustrated by Jon Agee 2. 10 Little Rubber Ducks, written and illustrated by Eric Carle 3. Rosa, written by Nikki Giovanni and illustrated by Bryan Collier 4.
