I read somewhere, once, when I was working at a bookstore, that Stine has a
'stable' of writers constantly churning out stories. The ones he likes, he puts his name on and publishes. It's supposedly a great type of internship/writers workshop, but not much recognition for the true creator of the work.
Also, the Thoroughbred series of books, although created and credited to Joanna Campbell, is written by several different authors, as is the Saddle Club (the difference is that Thoroughbred credits the authors. Saddle club gets a 'thanks to ________ for contributing to this work" notation).
