At our K-2 school library, kids love Junie B. Jones, Magic Tree House, and the Geronimo Stilton series. They really enjoy being able to read "chapter books." I personally have always loved the Baby-Sitters Club. Mary Ann, Stacey, Claudia, Kristy, Dawn (and, later, Mallory, Jessi, and Abby) all have such different personalities, interests, and families, yet they come together through their common passion for baby-sitting, and collectively they are able to triumph over any obstacle. I did read Sweet Valley High, too, but there was something about the BSC girls that kept me coming back. Maybe their innocence, or (quite possibly) the descriptions of their outfits. I also liked the fact that there were different collections featuring the Baby-Sitters, such as Super Specials and Mysteries. I probably read Baby-Sitters Club books from the time I was in 4th grade until I was-- oh wait, I still read them. In true confession of my ongoing love for the baby-sitters, Amanda Moss Maywood Elementary Monona Grove, Wisconsin
