For the same grades 2-4 audience cited by Anne, Deltora Quest, The Secrets of Droon and Dragonslayers Academy have been popular. Unlike Anne's group, Boxcar Children still sees a lot of action here. Kid's at this age often still name The Magic Tree House books as their favorite series, even if they are reading beyond the early chapter book level.
