Hi, everyone --
Many of my favorites for the youngest have already been mentioned -- but here they are again with some others that haven't been. These are books I use in workshops with parents, teachers, and caregivers as well as with babies during lapsit programs. The ones that the babies love the most are Copycat Faces and the board book version of Color Zoo. Oh, Baby! is also a winner with the little ones since it has so many things to touch and feel.
Black on White. Hoban, Tana. Greenwillow. Einsey Weensy Rhyme Book. Early Childhood Resources, Multnomah County Library. Ring a Ring 'O Roses. Flint Public Library. Peekaboo! A first pop-up book. Price, Mathew and Jean Claverie. Knopf. Copycat Faces. DK Oh, Baby! A Touch and Feel Book. Grossett & Dunlap. Rock-A-Baby. Ormerod, Jan. Dutton. Color Zoo. Ehlert, Lois. Lippincott. The Itsy Bitsy Spider. Siomades, Lorianne. Boyds Mills Press. Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? Martin, Bill Jr. What Shall We Do With the Boo-Hoo Baby? Cowell, Cressida. Scholastic. Animal Noises: A Pull-Tab Book. Apperley, Dawn. Little, Brown.
