Hello everyone,
Up until now, I have been enjoying watching all your conversations, growing as a future librarian because of your knowledge and expertise. This topic is one in which a can completely relate and would like to join in to discuss this. I concure that Sandra Boynton is a fantastic board book author. I read these books to my cousins twenty years ago and I read them to my children who are now 6 and 8. My favorites are But Not The Hippopotamus; Moo, Baa, La, La, La; The Going to Bed Book (Which by the way reads EXACTLY with Ode to Joy and my nieces love this story at bedtime); Blue Hat, Green Hat (my son always said, "What's that funny chicken doing" after "Oops" on each page); Hippos Go Berserk; Snoozers; Barnyard Dance and finally Bob: and 6 most Chrismas Stories.
Other favorites include:
The Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carle
Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See? by Bill Martin
Pat the Bunny by Edith Kunhardt Davies
Five Little Monkies Jumping on the Bed by Eileen Christelow
Time for Bed by Mem Fox
Whose House is This? by Charles Reasoner
Jamberry by Bruce Degan
I'm glad I could join in this conversation.
