I have two recommendations that run both ends of the scary spectrum. On the lighter, humorous side, DEVIL'S DONKEY and THE WISH GIVER by Bill Brittain are terrific reads and the ticket gimmick makes for a wow of a book talk.
The other is THE WOMAN IN THE WALL by Patrice Kindl -- you want to talk about scary, YIKES!
