I didn't discover THE GAMMAGE cup until I was an adult and loved it too. Around the same time I also discovered HOBBERDY DICK by Katherine Briggs which had a similar kind of magic for me (at least the first half).

The Gammage Cup by Carol Kendall (1959) was one of those books that, as a young reader, I wished would go on forever. Carol Kendall's second, also about the Minnipins wasn't nearly as exciting, and then...nothing.
So I've read The Gammage Cup over again throughout my life. It's impossible for me to step outside of that first, childhood enchantment and I don't think I'd choose to.
I have no idea what happened to the author or why she stopped at two books. As an adult I have wondered.
Carolyn
