Avi, the Newbery award-winning author will present "My Name is Avi: A Literary Performance Based on Avi's Writings" on Thursday, November 3, at 6:00 p.m. at the Central Children's Room (second floor) of the Donnell Library Center, 20 West 53rd Street, New York, NY. The performance is directed by Patrick Elkins-Zegkarski and Hilary Blair from the Denver Center for the Performing Arts Education Department.
Excerpts from Avi's works include Poppy's Return, Who Was That Masked Man Anyway?, Don't You Know There's A War On?, The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle, The End Of The Beginning, The Book Without Words, Crispin: Cross of Lead and Things That Sometimes Happen.
Please join us for refreshments at 6:00 p.m. and the performance at 6:30 p.m.
