Displaced Author Makes Tour Stops
n++ Author and storyteller Coleen Salley (Epossumondas, Harcourt) is making the most of her evacuation from her hometown of New Orleans. Salley, who was on vacation in Hawaii when Katrina hit, is currently staying with her son in Orange County, Calif., and will soon head to Portland, Ore., to stay with her daughter. While traveling, she's taking the opportunity to talk about books whenever possible. Harcourt was able to set up an appearance for her at Yellow Book Road in La Mesa and she'll now attend the Southern California Children's Booksellers dinner in Irvine this coming Saturday.
