My two cents: SPOILER!

SPOILER!

SPOILER!

SPOILER!

On the child_lit HP discussion I pointed out the conversation/disagreement overheard by Hagrid between Snape and Dumbledore. Snape wants out of something he promised to do; D. holds him to it. He could be wanting out of the triple agent thing; more likely he wants out of what he will have to do if it comes to that. I.e., kill D. I like the mind-exchange thing (Vulcan mind meld??). For all we know, Snape opened his mind to D. at some point and this is why D. trusts him. D. was, after all, the greatest wizard of his age.

In support to the "Snape still being a good guy after all" theoryThis was pointed out by someone on The Leaky Cauldron
(http://www.the-leaky?uldron.org/)- another wonderful fan site- anywayNote the parallels in the scene with Harry feeding Dumbledore the potion against his will & the scene where Snape kills Dumbledore: Harry is described as hating himself & being repulsed by his actions; Snape has an expression of revulsion & hatred as he kills Dumbledore...
