First off...to whomever asked about when 7 might be out: JKR said she intends to take the rest of this year off to be mommy to baby#3, as she did w/#2 after HP5 (I believe it was). She may do some work on it, but it will not be a dedicated writing-every?y situation. AFter that, I think she said it will take about a year to complete, so we're looking at approximately 2 to 2.5 years if all goes according to plan. And where did I find this out? If you are not yet acquainted with www.mugglenet.com, you need to check it out. JKR herself recognized it as one of the best fansites out there when she invited its webmaster (who is around 18) and the webmaster of leakycauldron to do an exclusive interview with her on July 17. The interview was supposed to be half an hour - and turned into over two! The transcript is on both sites and is a very interesting read! If you have patrons regularly asking you as an "expert" when the next book is coming, this is a great site to refer to!
For an incredible wealth of info/dissection of the minutiae of every book, check out www.hp-lexicon.org. This site was great years ago when there was only a few books - now it is ABSOLUTELY MINDBLOWING. It is the ultimate reference site, listing every character, creature, spell, breakdown of timeframes and more. In one section, it goes chapter by chapter of who is in each chapter, what spells are used, locations, etc. I'm telling you- the last time I looked at it, I had to pick my jaw up off my keyboard.
Just some info I thought I'd share!

Okay. I'm with the conspiracy theory on the tower, too, however, I think Dumbledore is dead. I think there was a moment of major legilimancy b/w Snape and Dumbledore, during which Dumbledore told him it was okay, I'm a goner anyway from drinking that potion in the cave, protect Malfoy, etc. All D said was
"Please." Please what? I also believe that it is possible that the reason he trusted Snape regardless is the two of them performed an Unbreakable Vow when he hired Snape to work at Hogwarts. The question is - who would be the Binder? I have my thoughts...but if this is the case, this person can help convince Harry later on, when it will be necessary for him to believe, that Snape is on his side....
