Hello - Just wanted to write a brief note of appreciation for Catherine Woolley, who died recently in Truro, Mass., at the age of 100. According to the write-up in the Chicago Tribune, she was the author of 87 children's books - one of which, Ginnie and the New Girl, was a special favorite of mine when I was in 4th grade. Woolley was the type of children's author who may not have won many awards, but her best books were both accessible and appealing; they were also (apparently) memorable, since this one has certainly stayed in my mind for ~45 years.
Cheers, and happy summer - Lyn
