Thank you so much to Susan Pearson and Sara Kelly Johns for posting the good news/information about Colleen Salley and Terry Young. I also was trying to reach both of them with no luck, and I am soooo relieved that they are at least safe elsewhere. I am also glad that the French Quarter is on (relatively) higher ground, and I hope that the many treasures related to children's literature in both of their houses will also be saved. Current TV news says that the water is no longer rising, so that is a good sign. We can only hope for the best in this most devastating of disasters -- for the two of them and for all New Orleanians.
