Some houses, but not all, do put nonfiction in paperback; it is true of Houghton Mifflin, as well as Clarion...not sure of other houses but isn't some of Denise Fleming's work in paperback, also Lois Ehlert...those are just off the top of my head. In my experience, if a book has not sold well in hardcover, it is unlikely to be put into paperback. Norma Jean
