I, too, have been appalled (but, I regret to say, not surprised) by the restrictions some school systems have tried to put on Lisa Peters when she makes author visits. The United States must increasingly be the laughing stock of the civilized, scientific
and educational worlds.
What can we do? Just try to keep the spark of rational thought alive in our libraries, I guess. I ordered some more copies of OUR FAMILY TREE for mine...
