I feel that the most important thing we can do as librarians is our job-selecting and providing ACCESS to books and materials that reflect the diversity of our society and our children. I feel that PABBIS is entitled to their opinion, and that as a member of an open, democratic society, I am entitled to express my disagreement with them. It may be true as Richie suggests that we need to be even more vocal and organized in voicing our professional opininions and beliefs regarding access to information.
