Houghton Mifflin's "Scientists in the Field" series has already been lauded in this thread. I am in the process of doing an article on those
(and similar) books for Book Links and I'm happy to report that I have eight of them in paperback editions, still printed on high quality paper. For readers in grades 4-7 they would be splendid summer reading. At $5 a volume they are a bargain. I hope that Houghton is having success in the bookstore market with these titles.
