James Haskins will be missed. He has made such an important contribution to non-fiction for young people and adults--telling the stories of African Americans whose voices would have remained silent and lost in time. Two of my favorites of his many titles are The Cotton Club, and James Van Derzee : The Picture Takin' Man. James Haskins leaves behind a wonderful legacy. Joyce Hansen
