To add to KT's point, I once worked for a publishing house in which the CEO went over the top because one of the firm's lawyer sent an e-mail to a number of people in the company about a lawsuit. While nothing the lawyer said was inappropriate/ illegal, the remarks should not have been made in an e-mail. All employees received a memo reminding them that everything written on a computer, and in e-mails can be retrieved with the right software...nothing is permanently deleted. When the memo was distributed some people in the firm, especially the entry level folk wondered/worried about the content of some e-mails they had sent friends. One young woman was so worried about the occasional flirtation she and her beau exchanged in e-mails on the company computer that a heart to heart was required to calm her down. FYI, and no more...Norma Jean
