Faith and Religion in YA Fiction--- Too Far Perhaps?

Monica, As I recall, we did have a discussion not too long ago on faith in YA literature. I know that there are some book series in print ("Mandy"
"Cooper Kids Adventures", etc) that present people of faith as main characters, mostly from small, religious publishing houses (Bethany, Nelson, etc.). Some are better than others. (Some are MUCH better than others.)

However, I'd like to give in to the little imp inside me and snidely point out that there are (percentage wise) more people of faith in the US than there are GBLT (something like 97% to 3%-5% -- depending upon which study you use), so it seems strange that there are not MORE books featuring this as a theme in YA literature.
