I am pleased to see that Hot Day on Abbott Avenue is an honor book for the Jane Addams award. I came across this book one day about a month ago at my library, and thought the pictures were beautiful. The illustrations are truly fun and inventive, it gives hope that more artist like Steptoe will win awards in the future. I highly recommend this book and hope you will pick it up for your own collections.
