I recently read The House of Tailors by Patricia Reilly Giff. I've read other books by her this year and haven't had one I can put down yet and this one was the same. She bases her story on a real person and their experiences immigrating to the U.S. from Germany. I look forward to recommending it to students who liked Nory Ryan's Song and Maggie's Door.
