I am trying to read through some of the "classics" of Young Adult literature. Currently I am reading Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes by Chris Crutcher, who seems to always write the most engaging stories. I just finished Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, and could not be more impressed.
  I am listening to The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke in my car, and it has been a very enjoyable experience. Many people have raved over the audiobook of her Dragon Rider, which is read by Brendan Fraser, so I'm going to try it next.
