Has anyone read "the Cloister Walk" by Kathleen Norris? She discribes how she has gone into schools in inner city settings as a poet to inspire children to realize that poetry is for everyone. (warning: you have to read through her residence at a Benedictine College to get to these examples, as the book is primarily a journal of her encounter with the Liturgical Life of the Benedictines and how she, as a poet, responds to these rhythms!)
