As a friend and contributor to Poetry Daily, I thought I'd step up and say that they publish the best contemporary poets. Actually, the fact that you can undo the line breaks on this rhyming poem and read the piece like prose is impressive. Separating the true poetry from the sham isn't a job I'd like to have. If I had to place bets, though, I'd say I'm pretty sure this is poetry:
