LBH is being too modest to recommend it, so I will jump in and tell you the book I use _every_ year with students to introduce all different kinds of poetry:
_Pass the Poetry, Please_ by Lee Bennett Hopkins
I started using this book with my 4th and 5th grade students in about 1987 and use it every year. It's a terrific introduction to poetry and poets - all kinds! Thank you, LBH!
