Laura- I really appreciated your post. Sensitive, insightful, articulate. I grew up non-Mormon in SLC, and am amazed by how and how deeply that experience (as an outsider very aware of my and others' religious beliefs) affected me. I'm now a writer and illustrator, working a lot with school kids of course, so it's
_really_ important and interesting to me to see how the "backstage" conversation of literature affects these psyches that are groping their way along in the world.
