Today it's time (finally!) to begin our discussion of the 2005 Caldecott Award winner and honor books:
2005 ALSC Randolph Caldecott Award (distinguished illustration for children)
Winner: Kitten's First Full Moon illustrated and written by Kevin Henkes. Greenwillow / HarperCollins, 2004.
Honor Books:
The Red Book by Barbara Lehman. Houghton Mifflin, 2004. Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale illustrated and written by Mo Willems. Hyperion, 2004. Coming On Home Soon illustrated by E. B. Lewis. Written by Jacqueline Woodson. Putnam, 2004.
What are your thoughts about any or all of these titles?
Megan
