The Wells County Public Library in Bluffton, Indiana hosted 35 area librarians, media specialists and teachers for a Mock Caldecott Workshop.
(A second workshop is scheduled for Monday.) The group selected the following:
Winner:
"Karate Hour" illustrated by Bill Thomson, written by Carol Nevius
Honors (in alphabetical order):
"Knuffle Bunny" written and illustrated by Mo Willems
"The Toughest Cowboy: or How the Wild West Was Tamed" illustrated by Zachary Pullen, written by John Frank
Waiting anxiously for the "real" Caldecott winner,
