Last week a small group of public and school librarians discussed and voted on their favorites for the Printz, Newbery and Caldecott. Our totally unscientific but enjoyable results were:
Printz: Al Capone Does My Shirts by Gennifer Choldenko
Newbery: The Young Man and the Sea by Rodman Philbrick
Caldecott: Kitten's First Full Moon by Kevin Henkes
Best of luck to the real committees, and we'll be eagerly awaiting next Monday's results!
