I am writing a piece on connecting science and children's literature, designed to be accessible for teachers, parents, teacher educators, and students, and would welcome any further suggestions of your favorite trade books with strong science connections (2004 or earlier). I will definitely include Science Verse, and Bang's My Light, and various other nonfiction titles you've been recommending here, like Lord God Bird.
I am using NSTA's Outstanding Trade Books as one source for locating more titles (across ALL genres), and also want to include non-book resources for this mixed reading audience of those interested in science.
Since this deviates somewhat off topic from 'Favorites', please drop me a line if you have any other goodies to share to help me help this broad audience access some of the best of chidren's and YA books, whilst learning good science at the same time.
TIA
