Hi, Steve, I agree that the illustrations work toward teaching a concept. They have a real glow that matches the concept. I wondered about the book being presented in the first person voice of the sun. Also, I know some people love back matter, but it seems to be overdone here. Would love to hear further comments from you and others. Melody Allen

  Also "My Light" by Molly Bang. Great use of illustration to teach a concept. The pictures themselves are dazzling, and they work together to show how all energy comes from the sun. It's a concept you can understand without needing to know yet exactly
 how it all happens, and she presents it powerfully, but at just the right level of simplicity.
