While we're still on the subject of religion, I wanted to mention the young adult novel that just won the National Book Award, "Godless" by Pete Hautman. It's gotten a lot of critical attention this year, and surely there are others out there on CCBC-Net who have read it.

I just finished reading it, and found it to be a compelling --and often humorous -- exploration of faith and belief, from the point of view of a teenage boy. I'd be curious to hear what other readers have made of it.
