With deep sadness I share the news that our dear friend and colleague Miriam Schlein, who wrote for children for half a century in most every genre -- picture books, novels, chapter books, fiction, nonfiction -died yesterday afternoon in New York City. As soon as I know, I'll post the info about the memorial.
