I apologize in advance if these books have been mentioned, trying to keep up with three different list serves (as many of you are doing as well) sometimes, often, means not reading everything.

So, first, the book WHAT IS GOD by Etan Boritzer, illustrated by Robbie Marantz

I love this book because it really talks about different philosophies and different religions. Early ideas, modern ideas. I think the book is very respectful of all views (except atheist, as my husband pointed out. Point taken, but obviously this is a book written with a basic belief in a feeling of/belief in God).

He has other books, What is Beauty among others (I think) that I haven't really read. I just saw them at the CRA tradeshow and it's always uncomfortable standing there reading a book while the booth person watches you (then I feel guilty about rejection, and yes, GUILT would be my main religion). They looked good, maybe a bit pedantic, but I didn't really get the time to absorb them.

BIG MOMMA MAKES THE WORLD by Phyllis Root is one of my favorite books. Every mother can relate to this wonderful creator and certainly gives me a different image of God than when I was a child
(for whatever reason, when I was little, I thought he looked like Diver Dan from this kid's t.v. show) :-)

IF you're ever somewhere when you can hear Walter Mayes read Big Momma, GO, you will be 'supremely' entertained. :-)

Happy Thanksgiving all!

Take care- Sharon
