My aunt and uncle introduced me to the Chronicles of Narnia series when I was eight.
I fell in love instantly. The references to Christianity eluded me, however, until I was much older and I was researching this series in college. Revisiting the books,
I can see the allusions, but as a child I was looking for the mystery and the beauty of Narnia as well as the sense of empowerment I felt reading each adventure.
