I most recently worked at a private school (originally Presbyterian but now broadly "Judeo-Christian) where religion was supposed to be taught three times a week. Each grade level had assigned texts. For Kindergarten, it was Tomie DePaola's Bible stories and Barbara McClintock's Animal Fables from Aesop. Unfortunately (in my opinion), the students in grades 1-4 used Willliam Bennett's books and the Chicken Soup books for their non-biblical texts. Does anyone have a similar situation where religion is taught, so to speak, in a non Sunday School setting?
