A Proud Taste for Scarlet & Miniver" is one of my all-time favorite books. It was assigned in my 6th grade history class, but since then I've read it many times.
I love the idea of calling it Creative Nonfiction instead of Historical Fiction. What a great classification to use when presenting it to a reader who claims to dislike Fiction!
