I love all of her books, but I think she has demonstrated her greatest skill in the craft of writing in "Schuyler". The wonderful thing about reading good literature is that the reader brings his/her own experience to one's interpretation of the text. Therefore, we have many varied reactions to any piece of writing. The over-all theme of those who have responded to this current theme has been that each reader has a
"favorite" from her varied and valuable collection of writing for children.
