Robin, thanks for reminding us all of Miss Wilcox, the wonderful teacher in A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly. She was not only an inspired teacher, but a bit of an enigma. Donnelly allows readers to catch just a glimpse of the rich life she lived beyond the classroom. I found myself wishing for an adult novel from the teacher's perspective.
