Please see the attached pdf for details of Reading Matters, Australia's leading youth literature event, presented by the Australian Centre for Youth Literature.
This year's theme is Making a Difference. Reading Matters is a curated conference, attended by around 250 librarians, publishers, editors, writers and book professionals. We also have a day of events for students, aged 10.
The two?y conference is held in Melbourne at teh State Library of Victoria, and features international writers including Adeline Yen Mah, Karen Levine and publisher UK David Fickling. Australian writers include Steven Herrick, Li Cunxin, Carole Wilkinson and Gabrielle Wang.
Dates for this biennial conference are May 12, 2005.
We warmly welcome visitors from the United States. Melbourne is a great city to visit-?ntastic dining and cultural tourism, and very easy and safe to travel around in. Hey, we even have a tram service!
